Your Guide to Staying at KOMU
How do I check in?
Check-in at KOMU is simple and self-guided. Prior to your arrival, we will send you a message via your booking platform containing your self-check-in details alongside a link to our digital guest registration form. Under the Japanese Hotel Business Act, we are required to collect contact details for all guests, including passport copies for non-residents of Japan. Completing this digital form ahead of time ensures a completely hassle-free arrival. On the day of your arrival, you can head straight to the chalet and let yourself in at your own pace.
Can I have an early check-in?
Check-in is from 3PM and while we do our best to accommodate early check-in requests, we cannot guarantee. If you arrive before the chalet is ready, we will be happy to store your luggage for you.
Can I send my luggage ahead of my check-in date?
Absolutely, you may send your luggage ahead of your scheduled check-in. Please inform us beforehand and we will provide the necessary delivery address. Your belongings will be securely stored until you arrive. Please visit the Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. Hakuba Center for more information.
How do I get to KOMU?
KOMU is conveniently located just a 5-minute taxi ride from Hakuba Station and Happo Bus Terminal. If you're driving, simply search for KOMU Hakuba on Google Maps for easy directions.
Is there daily housekeeping service?
We do not provide daily housekeeping so that you can enjoy complete privacy. For stays of 6 nights or more, we offer a complimentary mid stay refresh. If you require additional housekeeping services during your stay, please inform us prior to your arrival and we will provide a customized quote.
Am I able to prepare my own meals?
KOMU features a fully equipped, self-catered kitchen with modern appliances - perfect for preparing anything from light breakfasts to cozy dinners. Enjoy the convenience of cooking at your own pace with cookware, utensils and tableware all provided. We provide salt, pepper & cooking oil.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Unlimited use of Wi-Fi is available throughout the chalet.
What bathroom amenities and toiletries are provided?
We provide essential bathroom amenities including shampoo and conditioner, body wash, body cream, hairdryer, bath and face towels. Disposable toothbrush sets are available on arrival for guests who may have forgotten to pack one, but to help reduce unnecessary waste, they will not be replenished during your stay.
How is the chalet heated in winter?
KOMU is equipped with underfloor heating throughout the chalet to keep you warm and comfortable during the winter months. The temperature can be easily adjusted to your preference using the controllers located in each room.
Is there air-conditioning at KOMU?
Air conditioning is available in the living room and all bedrooms for your comfort during the warmer months.
How far is KOMU from basic amenities?
KOMU is conveniently located with essential amenities close by. Being in Misorano means you enjoy the peaceful surroundings while still being close to everything you need.

How do I get to the ski resorts if I don’t drive?

Are babies and young children welcome?
Yes, babies and young children are welcome - a travel crib and high chair are available for our youngest guests. Please note that the living, dining and kitchen areas are located on the second floor. Families travelling with young children may wish to take the chalet’s layout into consideration when planning their stay.
Can I invite additional friends or family members to stay overnight?
To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, and to comply with local lodging regulations, only the guests listed on the original booking are permitted to stay overnight. If you would like to add a guest to your booking before you arrive, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate them if the maximum capacity allows.
Is there a barbecue area available at KOMU?
Yes - during the green season, guests can enjoy the outdoor BBQ at KOMU. We provide a Weber BBQ, charcoal and all the essential tools you need for a relaxing BBQ experience. Please note that as the BBQ is outdoors, it may not be suitable in rainy weather. To help us maintain harmony with our quiet neighborhood, we kindly ask that outdoor dining wraps up by 9PM.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
KOMU maintains a firm non-smoking and non-vaping policy and any evidence of smoking or vaping inside the chalet will incur a cleaning fee. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a welcoming and fresh space for all guests.
